I can’t believe I have actually hit 1000 followers! It was literally under a month ago where I mentioned that I achieved 100 followers in my first Five Minute Fix post – what! Thank you so much to every single person who follows me, and likes and comments. I love receiving your comments and being able to chat with you in the discussion section at the bottom of each post.
Onto the post, and today I would like to share some of my recent products that I have completely finished! It’s really not very often that I empty a product so, chances are,the items featured here have seen a lot of loving.
Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Flared Mascara
One of the first mascaras I ever bought, after the bargain one from Natural Collection, and probably one of the best. This actually dried up months ago, but only now have I decided it’s time to part with it! It’s got quite a thick wand, and also quite a thick formula but I find it makes your lashes look bolder and darker very well. The waterproof version of this mascara is also really good! When I first purchased this mascara, it separated my lashes very well, but over time it began clumping them a little, but I think I can’t complain about this with a drugstore mascara.
Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer
This is a really nice, simple primer and it does the job well. It’s a gel formula which does well to minimise pores and help to give a flawless finish to foundation – something we all want! My only issue with this is that it doesn’t last very long. I swear the pot eats up the primer!! And for £8.99, you only get 7ml which is expensive compared to the Babyskin primer (very similar!) where you get 22ml for £7.99!
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Oriental
Dry shampoo is my everything. At the moment I still haven’t picked up a bottle so I am dry shampoo-less and my hair hates it! I’ve been washing my hair way too much to get rid of the grease and it has been really bad for my hair. All of the Batiste range that I’ve tried has been really good. This one smells like a really pretty, feminine scent and does a really good job of giving my hair an instant refresh. Since I need to repurchase another dry shampoo, I’m thinking of trying out Ruth Crilly’s new COLAB Dry Shampoo – has anyone tried this?
Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake 080
Cute name alert! I really like this lip butter, so much so that I purchased another one! It’s a moisturising, slightly sheer, baby pink that looks great on all skin tones. It’s very wearable, and looks it’s best when it has been blended into your lips a little.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in Shade 2 Light
If you haven’t heard of this concealer, then where have you been? This £4.19 (though I think it’s recently gone down in price) concealer is every make-up lover’s must. Even if you think you won’t like it, you have to try it! I love it, and have since repurchased another one in this shade, and a shade lighter. It’s really good for covering dark circles since it has quite a full coverage for a concealer, and concealing a blemish is so easy with this product. I wouldn’t say it does much to brighten under your eyes, which a lot of concealers do, but I still think it’s worth trying out. I should mention though, that due to it’s very thick consistency and formula, I probably wouldn’t recommend this much to people with very dry skin. However, I have dry skin and I still really like it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about what I’ve finished up recently – let me know if you’ve used the whole of a product and what you thought about it! And again, thank you so much for following me!
